I am always on the hunt for kitchen tools and gadgets that are going to help me along in my journey to becoming a chef, and Kyocera's ceramic products have made my list of must-have kitchen tools.
Under normal circumstances, I have to focus hard on both pressure and precision when cutting, due to my low tone challenges. But with the light, even weight of Kyocera's ceramic knives, and with the sharpness of the blades, I am able to focus on precision alone, which gives me the ability to make cleaner cuts. The lifetime warranty on the knives is an added bonus.
I was equally impressed with the Slicer, Grater, Peeler and Herb Mills:
The use of the Kyocera slicer for the cucumbers didn't just cut the slices easily, it cut down on the preparation time. It's also a safe starter-tool for kids who want to help out in the kitchen.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well the grater worked for me.
So much easier to use than some of the traditional graters you see on the market. It has a non-slip base so the grater isn't moving around while you grate, and it also has a built in bowl that catches the food and liquid so there's no mess.
Kyocera’s peeler has an innovative feature that offers the ability to change the direction of the blade by simply turning a knob, giving you the option to adjust your grip, depending on the item you are peeling and your grip comfort.
And finally, the ceramic blades used in the herb mills were just as sharp as the blades in the cutlery set, which made grinding the salt and pepper easy. There was no need to twist back and forth with a lot of pressure in order to grind the seasoning, like many mills force you to do.
Because Kyocera uses ceramic material, you don't have to worry about your food taking on the harsh metal taste that some kitchen tools can pass on to your food. Plus their products are easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Thanks Kyocera for introducing me to your exciting brand of kitchenware! I'll be using these for years to come!
