Yes, I ate breakfast 31 stories high with an AWESOME 360 degree view of London!
What a way to start the day, right? Aqua Shard is one of the restaurants at The Shard building, which is 87 stories tall and one of the tallest skyscrapers in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Did I mention the view…I did? Well, let me say it again…AWESOME!
The breakfast was pretty tasty too.
Mom ordered the traditional Full English Breakfast (bacon, eggs, sausage, tomato, mushrooms, and toast).
I had the Bacon Bap, which is a breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg. I’m not a fan of egg, so I had them substitute the egg with hash browns…delicious!
British bacon isn’t like the long, thin slices that we have here in America. Their bacon is sliced thicker and is more like Canadian bacon or ham. The Bacon Bap at Aqua Shard isn’t a fancy meal, but it was one my favorite things that I ate when I was in England.
Someday, I would like to go back to Aqua Shard for afternoon tea or dinner, so I can see the view of London all lit up at night. That would be another AWESOME sight to see!
